Preparation and Performance of the Lipid Hydrodeoxygenation of a Nickel-Induced Graphene/HZSM-5 Catalyst

Graphene-encapsulated nickel nanoclusters are a feasible strategy to inhibit the deactivation of nickel-based catalysts. In this work, graphene-encapsulated catalysts (Ni@C/HZSM-5) were prepared by compression forming process, using pseudo-boehmite, Al2O3, and ZrO2 as binders. The pseudo-boehmite was gradually transformed from amorphous crystalline alumina at high temperatures, which destroyed nucleation Ni@C. contrast, crystal-stabilized zirconia more favorable for extensive dispersion on surface HZSM-5 covers acid sites HZSM-5. when used binder, binder existed in form direct aggregation ~100 nm spheres; distribution reduced better damage site catalyst. Furthermore, particle size Ni crystals decreased significantly (mostly <11 nm), no evident agglomeration particles appeared. It found that stabilization metal interface delayed, an extent, accumulation rate carbon deposits and, thus, postponed sites. After 8 h continuous reaction, conversion traditional catalyst Ni/Z5+Zr dropped 60%. Ni@C with remained above 90%. regeneration test shows air roasting could effectively remove restore activity.
